General Responsibilities:
• Lead by example and cultivate a positive, engaging spirit throughout the entire church family and its ministries
• Represent Christ and the Church in the community at large
• Lead the worship team to develop and implement a comprehensive plan for inviting and inspiring worship services
• Serve as the primary platform leader in coordination with other members of the Worship Team
• Encourage the spiritual growth of Worship Team members by pastoring, leading and shepherding them to grow spiritually and technically in their craft
• Lead some form of spiritual development/devotional at every rehearsal
• Foster a positive and cooperative attitude and team spirit
• Schedule vocalists and instrumentalists for participation in our worship services
• Coordinate other special projects and perform other duties as directed by the Lead Pastor
• Lead and direct the worship team in planning and executing inspiring and engaging worship services that align with the vision and mission of Elevate Church
* Provide pastoral care and spiritual development for the worship team members through regular meetings, devotions, and accountability
• Build and manage budgets related to the worship ministry and ensuring proper stewardship of resources.
• Recruit, train, and multiplying staff and volunteer leaders for the worship team
• Collaborate with the creative and production teams to enhance the overall worship experience through worship-related technology including sound, lighting, and display technology
• Provide leadership and direction for worship music selection and copyright licensing
• Act as a platform leader during worship services and leading by example in living out the Core Values and Vision of Elevate Church
• Maintain a strong personal spiritual life through regular Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, and fellowship with accountability
• Foster a positive and cooperative attitude and team spirit among the worship team and other ministry leaders
• Focus on the spiritual growth and development of the worship team members and encouraging them to use their gifts and talents to serve others
• Actively build relationships with lost people and being personally effective in pursuing the Great Commission and Elevate Church's mission
• Be flexible and adaptable to the entrepreneurial spirit of the Lead Pastor and accepting other assignments and ministry opportunities as necessary and appropriate
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
• Three or more years of leading worship in a church setting is preferred
• Effectively be able to lead worship from an instrument
• Knowledge in commonly used instruments as well as knowledge to provide vocal training
Additional Requirements:
• Provide at least two hours of video footage of you leading worship in a corporate worship environment
